Our Pediatric Services
What We Assess
Infant Hearing
Early identification of hearing loss is critical for speech and language development. We provide thorough assessments for clients as young as 6 months of age. At this age, we use visual reinforcement audiometry, tympanometry, and otoacoustic emissions.
Toddler and Preschool Testing
Play-based audiometry adapted for children aged 2 to 5. We use games and visual reinforcement to keep young children engaged throughout testing.
School-Age Evaluations
Comprehensive hearing assessments for school-age children, including those experiencing academic difficulties that may be related to hearing or auditory processing.
Auditory Processing
Assessment of how well children process and understand what they hear, which can affect learning, reading, and social interaction.
Special Needs Assessment
Experienced in testing those that might be considered difficult to assess. We adapt our approach to each child's comfort level and abilities.
Jordan's Principle Applications
We assist First Nations families with Jordan's Principle funding applications to help cover the cost of auditory processing assessments and follow-up care. We accept Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB).
