What is Lenire?

If your days are shaped by a constant ringing, buzzing, or hissing in your ears, you already know how exhausting tinnitus can be. Lenire offers a different path forward.

Developed by Neuromod Devices in Ireland and backed by years of peer-reviewed clinical research, Lenire is a non-invasive treatment that uses bimodal neuromodulation to retrain how your brain processes the signals it interprets as tinnitus. You wear a pair of headphones that play customized sound patterns while a small mouthpiece called the Tonguetip delivers gentle electrical pulses to the surface of your tongue. Together, those two inputs help your brain form new neural patterns and gradually reduce the perception of tinnitus.

Lenire is cleared by Health Canada and the FDA and is CE-marked, representing a meaningful step forward in evidence-based tinnitus care. Ears for Life is one of only seven hearing centres in Canada authorized to provide it, with clients travelling to us from across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Northwestern Ontario.

How it Works

Tinnitus is not just a sound problem. It is a brain processing problem. Lenire targets that processing directly, and your treatment journey at Ears for Life is built around making the process clear and supported from the very first call.

01

Step 1: Initial Consultation

Call us to talk through your tinnitus history and what you have been experiencing. Dayna answers the phone, takes the time to understand your situation, and books your assessment with one of our doctoral audiologists.

02

Step 2: Comprehensive Assessment

A thorough evaluation of your hearing and tinnitus, including audiometric testing and a detailed conversation about how tinnitus is showing up in your life. This is where we determine whether Lenire is the right fit for you.

03

Step 3: Device Fitting

If you are a candidate, we custom-program your Lenire device with sound settings tailored to your tinnitus profile. You will leave knowing exactly how to use the device at home and what to expect in the weeks ahead.

04

Step 4: 12-Week Treatment Protocol

You use Lenire at home for 30 to 60 minutes a day. The headphones and Tonguetip work in tandem to gently retrain your brain's response to tinnitus over the course of the protocol.

05

Step 5: Follow-Up and Adjustment

We monitor your progress with scheduled check-ins throughout the 12 weeks. Your audiologist fine-tunes settings as your treatment unfolds to optimize your results.
